Professional wine appraiser Tom DiNardo is not just your average wine professional. Tom began working part-time in the wine industry in 1987. Tom entered the wine profession full time in 1993. Tom DiNardo is now a nationally recognized as a professional sommelier, wine expert, and wine educator. He is also a wine judge, counterfeit wine identification expert, and wine fraud investigator. Tom is an acclaimed charity auctioneer and an occasional freelance wine writer.
In 2007 Tom DiNardo received his sommelier diploma from the International Sommelier Guild. Tom is an international wine judge for many wine competitions such as the Indianapolis International Wine Competition, West Coast Wine Competition, Denver International Wine Competition and the Northwest Wine Summits to name just a few. In 2010 he was inducted into the Seattle chapter of the Commanderie de Bordeaux as a Founding Commandeur.
Tom is currently spending much of his time performing appraisal reports for insurance companies, law firms, banks, and individuals. Tom DiNardo is also a member of the International Association of Special Investigations Units (IASIU), and he works occasionally as an insurance special investigator and or testifies as an expert witness assignment He is now writing a wine education book, and is now perhaps best known for his Internet wine personality – The Wine Zealot.
